supply list

FOLLOWING IS A SUGGESTED SUPPLY LIST. PLEASE BRING ANY OTHER DRAWING AND PAINTING MEDIUMS OR EQUIPMENT YOU LIKE TO WORK WITH -- DO NOT LIMIT YOURSELF TO THIS LIST. IF YOU HAVE TROUBLE FINDING CERTAIN ITEMS DO NOT WORRY.

  • Largest newsprint pad you can carry.
  • Good quality drawing paper. Paper that can take a fair amount of abuse. Bring the kind of surface that you like best or a mixture of rough and smooth. Get the largest size you can manage: 30” X40” or a roll or two. We plan to go through quite a lot of paper.
  • Large tube of acrylic paint. Colors = Black and Burnt Umber. Acrylic painting mediums.
  • Charcoal. I recommend compressed 3B through 5B. Bring what you like to use. If
you can find “chunk Charcoal” bring it. Pearl Paint usually carries it.
  • Pencils. A good supply of soft pencils. 2B through 6B. Erasers.
  • Soft wax painting medium. Dorlans is the brand name I use.
